Mother's Day cards

Okay, so I'm really trying to be better about getting holiday, birthday and anniversary cards made and sent out on time. So on Sunday I made some mother's day cards. I even have the envelopes addressed and ready to mail out! Hopefully I won't forget to put them in the mail! I hope they enjoy the cards because I enjoy making them (when I have spare time!)

Worlds Of Fun

Here is Daniel and his friends Levi and Kayla making sure they are tall enough to ride!!!
Daniel wanting to ride The Patriot. But they didn't get a chance to because of thunderstroms shutting down the rides:(

Daniel, "I'm so cool!" Stafford!
(Sorry about the picture being blurry, it was our old digital camera!)

All the group trying to decide where to go next. So many rides and not enough time to ride them all!!

Trying to stay dry from the rain we went into the arcade to play.

It's In The Valleys I Grow

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
full of sorrow, trouble and woe
it's then I have to remember
that it's in the valleys I grow.
If I always stayed on the mountain top
and never experienced pain
I would never appreciate God's love
and would be living in vain.
I have so much to learn
and my growth is very slow
sometimes I need mountain tops
but it's in the valleys I grow.
I do not always understand
why things happen as they do,
but I am very sure of one thing
my Lord will see me through.
My little valleys are nothing
when I picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death
His victory was Satan's loss.
Forgive me Lord, for complaining
when I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder
that's it's in the valleys I grow.
Continue to strength me, Lord
and use my life each day
to share your love with others
and help them find their way.
Thank you for the valleys, Lord
for this one thing I know
the mountain tops are glorious
but it's in the valleys I grow.

Chef Daniel

Daniel cooked dinner for us the other night. Usually when he asks to help I'll have do some things to help. But this time I let him do it all. I just basically supervised him (to make sure he didn't burn the food or the house!)
Here he is learning how to multitask!

"Do you want me to cook your dinner?"

Here is the end result! I have to say it was pretty good!
