Daniel's Tae Kwon Do awards

These awards were given on Saturday the 16th at the open house at his academy. This metal here is for a program that they had a choice to participate in during the summer. It was a report card that the parents kept at home. It had things like doing your chores, coming to class, and going outside to exercise. He did that and received this medal which he so proudly wears.

This one is an Award Of Honor. Six of them were handed out during the award ceremony. Four of them were given to the Instructors and two were given to students. We had no clue that he was receiving this. Daniel was in total shock. He actually had tears in his eyes. It was awarded for having physical and mental performance and acting with honor, respect, self-confidence and discipline. We are very proud of him and his recent accomplishments.

Just playing around

Rosie wanted to get some pictures of her little guy, Michael, because he is growing up so fast and changing day by day. So I suggested that I help take some of those pictures. And of course Daniel is always willing to get in front of the camera. So I think we did pretty good. Daniel did great at trying to keep Micheal smiling and smiling himself. He even let Michael drool and pull hair to keep him in a good mood for the picture. What a great cousin!

These pictures were taken the other morning as the sun was coming up. It always amazes me at how beatiful the sky can be and how the colors blend in perfectly.

Daniel's Tae Kwon Do sparring

Here are some pictures of Daniel sparring on Saturday. I did my best to get a picture of him kicking. The older guy in the picture said that Daniel has some amazing kicks and can't wait to spar him. Hopefully I can get better at taking pictures.
